Jumping rope can be practiced anywhere and it is inexpensive. I love this form of cardio workout as you don’t need a lot of room to train and you can train inside if the weather is bad. You also don’t require expensive gym membership. Plus you get health benefits like strengthening of heart and lungs. I think its better than running as jumping rope is a medium impact exercise and is less likely to cause damage to your knees and ankles.

Thank you! The Zen Dudes have helped me so much. I wish you guys were on a system like Patreon. Anyway, I am an actual Soto Zen Buddhist who belongs to a sangha in Portland, Oregon. In the summer, I climb mountains, so I need to stay fit in the off-season. Jump rope has exceeded all my expectations and it’s fun! Currently, I’m training to climb Mt. Rainer, among other peaks. To this end I created a workout which I call “The Orange Whip.” I alternate between a one pound, orange Crossrope and a black intensity rope. An interval timer keeps me on track for this 53:00 workout. I do 90 second sets with a one minute rest. During these rests, I do yoga asana, like down dogs, up dogs, planks, yogi squats and trikonasa. When I use the black, agility rope I really try to burn it. I use all the fancy tricks I know, and for the last ten seconds, I double my effort, Tabata style. When I use the orange whip, I throw in some high knees if I can, but mostly I just keep it moving. For the soundtrack, I’ve found that old school Black Sabbath really keeps me moving. I’d love to get your input on this one. Thanks again, gassho to the Zen Dudes.

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My website has a lot of unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any techniques to help prevent content from being ripped off? I’d certainly appreciate it.

We do find our stuff in places it shouldn’t be from time to time. I guess that’s the ultimate compliment?
